Each year, the Social Report represents an important opportunity to present the results achieved, measure the impact of the activities carried out and share the value of the projects supported by the Foundation.
The 2025 edition provides a snapshot of a commitment that continues to grow in Italy and around the world through initiatives dedicated to education, women’s empowerment, social inclusion and the fight against gender-based violence.
Behind every project are people, communities and opportunities made possible through the collaboration of organisations, corporate partners, volunteers and donors who help transform resources and expertise into concrete pathways towards growth and autonomy.

The figures behind the 2025 Social Report
During 2025, Fondazione Marcegaglia supported 28 active projects across 6 countries – Italy, France, Rwanda, Pakistan, India and Afghanistan – reaching more than 4,700 direct beneficiaries.
Among the year’s key achievements were 111 scholarships awarded, 60 hours of training delivered in anti-violence centres, 2,140 women involved in education and literacy programmes, 1,920 hours of training provided at the vocational training centre in Rwanda attended by 291 students, 470 young people trained on gender equality and inclusion issues, and more than 1 million of euros raised thanks to the support of corporate partners.
These figures reflect the scale of the Foundation’s activities, but above all they represent a starting point for understanding the value generated by projects in the different contexts where the Foundation operates.
Education, inclusion and autonomy at the heart of our projects
Throughout the year, the Foundation continued to invest in initiatives designed to promote autonomy, inclusion and development through access to education and new opportunities for growth.
From scholarships to women’s empowerment programmes, from vocational training initiatives to projects aimed at combating gender-based violence, every initiative was designed to provide practical tools that foster independence, participation and personal development.
Particular attention was devoted to women and younger generations, based on the belief that education, training and economic autonomy are essential elements in building stronger and more inclusive communities.
These achievements were also made possible thanks to collaboration with Third Sector organisations, training providers, businesses and institutions that share the Foundation’s commitment to generating a positive and lasting impact within local communities.

This figure reflects a tangible impact, but above all it tells stories of autonomy, growth and renewed opportunities. (…) These results confirm a clear direction: generating measurable social impact, with particular attention to women’s empowerment, the prevention of gender-based violence and the development of skills as a driving force for autonomy and inclusion.”
The 2025 Social Report confirms the path undertaken by the Foundation over its fifteen years of activity and tells the story not only of results and figures, but also of the value of the opportunities created through the shared efforts of individuals, organisations and companies that choose to invest in the future of communities.
It is a tool for transparency, but also an opportunity to share the meaning and impact of the initiatives carried out throughout the year.
