FOUNDATION
ABOUT US
Fondazione Marcegaglia is a participatory foundation established in 2010 by the Marcegaglia family: Steno and his wife Mira, along with their children Emma and Antonio, and Carolina Toso Marcegaglia, who was entrusted with the presidency.
The Foundation represents the natural evolution of the philanthropic spirit that has always characterised the Mantua-based entrepreneurial family and fully expresses, through a clear project-oriented approach and resource management, their distinctive managerial character. It reflects the spirit that has driven the steel processing company founded in Gazoldo degli Ippoliti over 60 years ago, which has now become a Group with more than 35 facilities worldwide: entrepreneurial excellence coupled with a discreet yet profound commitment to social causes.
The charitable organisation exclusively pursues objectives of solidarity, support, and the creation of projects in the socio-healthcare, educational, and socio-economic fields, and supports interventions aimed at combating social exclusion, gender-based violence, and new forms of poverty, particularly in the areas where the company operates through its facilities.

WHAT WE DO
Fondazione Marcegaglia supports solidarity initiatives by funding local grassroots organisations or working directly through trusted operational partners.
Internationally, the Foundation supports development projects by focusing on women’s entrepreneurship through job placement and the creation of micro-enterprises, as well as on the development of local healthcare systems.
In Italy, it supports initiatives aimed at combating social exclusion, domestic violence, and new forms of poverty, particularly in the areas where the company operates.
